Biography

Ute Hülsheger is an Associate Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Bielefeld University, Germany and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Amsterdam Business School, The Netherlands. She is interested in how individuals can address the daily demands of work effectively, while remaining healthy and satisfied with their work. She studies occupational health-related topics including emotional labor, recovery from work and the role of mindfulness for employee health and well-being.

Ute’s work has been funded by the German Academic Exchange Service, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and SIOP. It has been published in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Personnel Psychology and Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She currently serves on various editorial boards, including the Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Business and Psychology.
